The Kokusai Steering Tester is a laboratory machine providing functional tests in a virtual test environment. Its purpose is to identify possible design or manufacturing defects which can be difficult to simulate in the final assembled condition. Various models exist, including a 5-axis system (See YouTube video link in the upper right hand corner of website) adding vibration simulation at the tire/wheel assembly. More recent systems have full HILS integration for complete steering driving simulation.
